I think it's cool if that's your personal preference to drop all interest in someone the minute you see them light up. It's a disgusting habit.

However the key work in the above sentence is "habit."

Considering the fact that most of the population here on this board is geeks, and no one can ever find a date, I would recommend that you do not take things such as smoking at face value.

You could be missing out on a really great person, possible someone that you could have spent the rest of your life with. Someone who would have been willing to quit their "habit" for you and your future together.

Just because someone smokes doesn't mean they are genuinely a bad person, for god sakes it's just smoking. The way I see it is you are robbing yourself, and if that's the way you want it to be because of your own demanding selfishness then so be it. There will always be internet porn.

I dated a girl who smoked before...it sucked, kissing her was like tonguing an ashtray....not a pleasant experience for a non-smoker. Mind you it was a very short relationship.

My wife quite smoking for herself, but I encouraged it. I hated it. She wonders how I was able to deal with it for so long, sometimes you gotta overlook stuff and hope for change... but that can be dangerous. Proceed w/ caution.
