Shaq had early foul trouble and wasn't even present most of the game. It was all Rush this game. RECOGNIZE!!!!
Ahem - Shaq played 38 minutes, racked up 11 boards, and led his team in scoring with 25. Were you even watching the game?
I am a Wolves fan and think it's a shame that LA fans are so classless that they can't acknowledge Minn's gutsy performance, even without the services of Cassell. The Lakers franchise is tough to love, and their fan base doesn't help.
That said, the Lakers are loaded with talent. The poster above who accused Shaq of being fat and unathletic is living in a fantasy world (he is one of the most dominant athletes on the planet, ever), and Malone and Payton are sure Hall of Famers. Kobe too, unless he goes to prison.
Kevin Garnett is a tremendous athlete, and has a big heart and a lot of class. The fact that he was crying just reflects that unlike, say, Payton, he loves the game more than he loves himself. Anyone who mocks him needs to take stock of whether they have ever given anything the kind of dedication he gives to his game, and whether they are half as good at anything they do as he is at basketball.
LA deserved to win the series, but the Wolves deserve recognition for a great season.
