I had to stop watching shows on HGTV and DIY. I could not handle the amount of times I heard the word "pop" from a show's host. It didn't matter which show it was, they had to stick that word in somewhere. It was like a Pavlovian response - every time I heard the word, I would get nauseous.

I really like(d) Disaster DIY. A lot of other shows were good for general ideas and information, but I prefer the shows that provide at least a little instruction or show techniques. Mike Holmes' shows are pretty informative too, but I think his ego started affecting the quality of the programs.
