This is my first real chance to sit down and relax since Sunday night, so I felt like blogging a bit.

Ohio isn't such a bad place. The drivers are terrible but the people seem nice enough.
My company recently acquired a company's stores that went out of business. I was just supposed to come down here to set up a few computers then stand by for troubleshooting calls. Business was so crazy that I never got a chance to stand by. I guess that is a good thing but I am dead tired.

Micro Center is the shiznit. I finally got lil rudeguy's new gaming rig built (well mostly built but all bought). Total out the door price was less than Amazon or Newegg could do for me. They had all these crazy bundle deals and the price kept dropping the more I bought. I think he will be happy.

Anyone ever seen a couple hundred very upset poor people crowding into a tiny store? I worked retail for a long time and thought I had seen it all. Today proved I hadn't. People started getting rowdy before we even opened the store, so I went outside to chat. Ended up having a ton of fun with the crazy people. Only a few loudmouths, so that was good.

I'm going to try to get out of going to Omaha. I don't want to go and one of our IT guys wants to go. But he's young and I don't know if they will trust him to go. I am going to pitch the idea to anyone who will listen tomorrow.

I miss lil rudeguy. I can't wait to get home and see him.

So Michigan State wins a Big Ten championship and you go defect to the losers' side?

I one day hope to see the glory of a Microcenter.

Go hang out with Joe the Plumber. You bear a strong resemblance to him...and hold very similar political views. I think you will get along well...

I'm in Ohio, and I have to travel to Michigan for the nearest Microcenter. :\

That's the one north of Detroit. I DID get my camera from the Columbus store, and I think I stopped to look at something at the Cinci store one time. When I was in Columbus, that was awesome having a Microcenter very, very close. The closest one from Toledo is over an hour's drive.
I did source half of my last PC build, and half of my HTPC, from that Microcenter store. Sometimes the amount saved there and having a physical store to interface with (and sometimes MB+CPU combos, or other combo deals, are actually the best price there, period), so I usually get what's in stock, or at least what is heavily discounted AND compatible.

I like it here. Boring sometimes, but heck, I'll take boring over some of the other crazy stuff other states can get.

I've used Microcenter every so often. Only 15-20 min from work.

Grew up there, never was a big fan of that particular state however.

While there are some negatives, it is rather awesome considering we have just about everything. Granted, just about everything we have pales compared to similar things in other states, but it seems we definitely have the largest collection of things.

We're a very cosmopolitan state, a little of everything, including geography styles (well, no deserts or massive mountains, but mountains there are... sorta).

I've never been fond of my home (LOVE Columbus though - love it, if I'm stuck in the Northern and Eastern territories, I'm living in Columbus. Move west of the Mississippi, my desires change), but I've come to appreciate the more recent local developments and forcing myself to see more than I did growing up.

False.

The drivers are terrible

This is true.

Micro Center is the shiznit.

Well 2 out of 3 aint bad

Liquidation of the stores? I spent a long time in retail as well and went through a liquidation when the company went out of business. It was the worst 3 months of work in my life. You may understand how words just don't seem to do it justice. Got a lot of really cheap stuff at the end though

Be sure to wave out your driver's side window the next time you drive up

Dude, you live in Michigan... saying Ohio isn't such a bad place is like saying cat shit doesn't taste to bad when compared to dog shit.

I used to think Microcenter was the tits.

Then I moved to a place that had Fry's nearby. (actually, there is one in the Chicago suburbs, but that shit might as well be on another coast)

Oh and, hey, by the way!
You Michigan drivers are just as aggravating as Ohio drivers! Yeah, I can't stand any drivers in this region when it comes to highways. It doesn't matter what speed everyone is going, it's quite often people don't get out of the left lane to let someone pass. This is terrible! I'm usually in a race to decrease my time on road. It's like a checkpoint system.

And it always seems to be Michigan plates on the cars that, for whatever reason, are pissing me off the most at that point in time. Merging wrong, blocking a merge, not paying attention to traffic, blocking left lane, speed is all over the place, etc (not all at once - those ones, holy shit... I haven't noticed a trend of origin, but my god it makes me want to push a giant Reset button when I encounter them.)

And also, regarding events that have transpired in recent times best to be considered forgotten, I wish a special kind of curse on all your territory. Including that growth protruding from our coastal region that we don't want and you so proudly proclaimed yours.
Your Detroit disease is also festering down here, there's you to blame for this as well. D:

You should be ashamed of yourselves.

regardless, its heads and tails better than michigan

Lies! Detroit gives Michigan a bad rap. Lots of beautiful areas in the state that Ohio could only dream of.

And it always seems to be Michigan plates on the cars that, for whatever reason, are pissing me off the most at that point in time.

Clearly from jealousy.

Merging wrong, blocking a merge, not paying attention to traffic, blocking left lane, speed is all over the place, etc (not all at once - those ones, holy shit... I haven't noticed a trend of origin, but my god it makes me want to push a giant Reset button when I encounter them.)

I will grant you that there is a triangle of terrible drivers from Ann Arbor to Novi to Taylor where Michigan drivers seem to emulate the same nonsensical and retarded behaviors of the average Ohioan but I assure you that this is not the norm for the rest of Michigan. I would apologize for their behavior while in Ohio if I weren't so happy they were down there instead of around me.

And also, regarding events that have transpired in recent times best to be considered forgotten, I wish a special kind of curse on all your territory.

:hmm: Being an OSU fan would explain your irrational jealousy and hatred.

Yeah, coming down from Michigan and deciding "Ohio isn't bad" is pretty hilarious: Your perspective isn't exactly state of the art. Both states suck. Ohio just sucks a little bit less because it doesn't have Detroit and Flint, and it's a degree or two warmer.

Both are shitty places to live out your life.

I heart microcenter. They had the AMD cpu+free mobo deals for so long I built 3 machines taking advantage of them.
