There's also a hi-val cd-rom drive for 19.99 after rebate, but the last hi-val product I got was a 24x10x40 cdrw three months ago and still waiting for my rebate.
The HiVal name is owned by IOMagic, (also Digital Research is owned by IOMagic) and the only you'll get the rebate, (from my experiences with IOMagic), is to call them on the phone. I had two rebates with them and I had to call to receive them. These guys are bad with rebates. I would stay away.
I still have my 52x cdrom that cost me like $29.99 from googlegear about 3 years ago. Running as good as the day it came, although it sounds like a Concord taking off.
