Hi,
Joined your team a couple of days ago and i was wondering if the majority runs just Seti or Seti + a bunch of other type programs such as FOLDING. And what would be a good results per return per day ?

Last question, how many computers do you use for Seti ?

I'm just curious

Thanks.

Hi Gee
Many of us run seti but many of us don't run seti at all chosing to run Folding, FaD, or one of the other projects and there are those of us who run several projects at the same time.
I personally have 14 machines running at home and I am currently running mostly seti but I do have a couple of machines on FaD.
I don't crunch under my nick chosing to join a miniteam ( The Rebel Alliance) other members of the RA are crunching Folding or seti or whatever project they wish to run.
Just crunch what makes you happy as we are all part of the TeAm no matter what project we run.
Welcome to the team

Hi Gee, welcome!

I use 4 machines here at home, 24/7
2 AMD 1700+ running 2+ghz
1 AMD 2400+
1 iNtel 1.26ghz 512k cache

2 machines I built for a company that run intermittently
both P4 2.8e running 3.4ghz

1 machine I repaired for my brother runs intermittenly
AMD 2200+

Started Seti in May 1999, will stop when they kill the project.

I've run a few other projects for a short while, mainly to payback other projects for helping Seti TeAm in times of need. I'm mainly running Seti Classic all the time.

If you have a dual-proc or HT-enabled system, you can run seti + another project on the same machine. I hear seti + F@H works well. I have 3 machines, one is HT-enabled, so I run 4 F@H clients myself.

Hi Gee, Welcome to Anandtech

I have two computers but I am folding (Folding@Home) only...

these are slightly overclocked AMD 2500+ Bartons and I get about 200 Points per day from each one.

Welcome. Some of the TeAm run only one project, others run multiple.

I have 7 computers running only SETI Classic at this time, trying to keep Team Anandtech SETI ahead of our rivals BBR until SETI Classic ends.

Welcome to the TeAm and the DC forum Gee!

I've got about 100 machines doin DC and most of them are on SETI now. They used to be devided between the projects in my sig and they will be again when SETI ends... It's great running all the different projects, but sometimes it can be a lot of work...and then there's always my actual work to take care of... But running them all are a lot of fun!

Happy crunching and plz ask if you've got any more questions.

You've gotten good responses from well respected TeAm mates!

I haven't been here long - ten months - I started out folding (and still do!) but I wanted to see what all the other projects were about so I joined TA Sentinel (TAS) to see the world We vote on which project to help each month. amdxborg is our Captain.
