What is the best way to hide porn on my computer i share with my family? I have about 3GB of porn.

Burying it in a folder and removing the extension doesn't prevent it from being included in search queries.
Also removing the extension is a huge pain if you want to actually view it.

Back in the day when I also shared a computer, I would just mark the folder as hidden, turn on 'hide' hidden folders option in Windows Explorer and then bury it somewhere in the 'windows/system' folder. I would then create a shortcut to it in the same folder. The shortcut is necessary so that I can assign keyboard shortcut (CTRL-ALT-P) so that I wouldn't have to navigate to it whenever I'd get in the mood. Too bad getting moody is more difficult now that I'm older.

B/c if he was the parent he would have been asking where to hide his playboy magazines, not his digital pron. And only 3gb tells us that he is rather new to this game. More importantly, he earlier posted a very noob-ish question that has me wondering if he's really being serious at all, thus prompting my tongue-in-cheek response.

lol I like how the question is super honest. Most people would just ask "how do I hide data" and we'd all know it's either porn or warez anyway.

What I'd do is encrypt it and hide the file in some obscure folder within system32 or something. Make a random folder that looks like this: {9D82E-3F58-BCD25A-59} and throw it in with a bunch of random DLLs that you copy from somewhere else. Name the file "winuninst.exe" or something obscure like that. When you want to mount it, just rename the extension to whatever it has to be, then mount it.

umm, different profiles with you as admin and the rest as users? remove their rights to your pron folder. tis how i did it.

Why not just use an online website? Something safe...then Clear the browser cache when you are done. I haven't used the pron folder (HDD) for a while due to free online content.
