Acutely? Once only? With no previous history? Who knows? Saying that those circumstances provide for a low incidence is one thing, advocating it as "no big deal" behavior is stupid. I could have a couple of drinks and go for a drive and 9/10 times be fine, does that make it "no big deal?"

I smoked weed whenever offered socially, and drank like a fish in college so I suppose you're wrong there also.

Ignorance would be fairly amusing, if this type of statement wasn't incredibly common. The OP also stated he's been taking aspirin as well, another drug metabolized by the liver. Who knows if he has any other history that may be compromising liver function, or taking any other liver metabolized drugs? Maybe you guys just haven't seen enough people in liver failure?

I take large dose of CoQ10 with warfarin, eat a heaping bowl of broccoli every day, and usually enjoy a large grapefruit with my statin as well. Live free or die!

THC is metabolized in the liver (like nearly everything else), but I don't know much about it's metabolism beyond that.

BTW, I stopped taking aspirin the day before having my tooth pulled and probably won't resume it until tomorrow. The daily dose of aspirin I take has not only never been linked to liver toxicity (by itself or in combination with therapeutic levels of any other substance), but its actually been shown to have a protective effect on the liver.

I was speaking of aspirin in conjunction with opiods and alcohol. Something slightly different than a daily 80/160 for prophylaxis. I know you have knowledge of medicine, as demonstrated by a number of your posts, which is why I was a bit surprised you were so cavalier about washing down narcotics/acetaminophen with alcohol. A bit silly, no?

Well to be fair Tylenol is one of the few drugs that do not go good with alcohol (a leading cause of liver failure).

In much higher doses and/or for much more prolonged periods. I actually took half the tablet, then took the other half about two hours later. Haven't taken any more since, but the night is still young!

I hate Vicodin, it only knocks me out 24 hours after taking it, it's friggin weird.

I take it at like 10PM, go to be wake up, go to work, and get home, and HAVE to go to sleep, or i'll fall over.
