It's a matter of preference I guess. Just go to your local OD and try both of them out. If you had the coupon mailed to you like I did then it's easier to just go buy it from the B&M store.
Just ordered the black cloth one...i tried it out today at OD and the cloth one was just more comfortable. Also I ordered it online and am picking it up at the store tomorrow. =)
Just put together two of these chairs. Here are my observations:
-Setup is very simple, total of 12 screws.
-Chair itself is pretty comfortable.
-I love the firm lumbar support - this thing doesn't sag at all.
-The chairback ends right at my neck but i can still rest my head on it.
-Leather is of the coarser type
-The padding underneath is ample, but note that this is not "cushy" chair. About two inches of padding on the seat.
For the price this is really a no-brainer...get in before its out of stock
Just picked up the black cloth on. Its a great deal for $48. Ordered online, then picked it up at the B&M. Sat on both of them before the purchase. The leather one wasn't padded enough for me and the back of the leather one isnt as high as the fabric one. Both are great deals though since most of the other chairs there are about $150-$250.

Just a small little dumb thing, that lever on the side can be used to LOCK the chair from leaning back....hehehe

Funny how a good price makes it so easy to convince yourself you NEED something you hadn't thought about. --But seriously, my office chair is rigged together. As nice as it is, it's a ticking time bomb, and one day soon I'm bound to end up in the floor with a gash on my leg from torn metal. Better to be safe than sorry. $45.00 is less than the stitches would be for the leg.

I called just customer service to see about getting the cloth chair for $59.99, but she said it is back to $99.99. I can't believe I screwed this up. I needed this thing.

Actually in my case I just moved into my apt. Before I bought an L shaped desk the other day for $50 my comp was on the floor. Now I need a swivel chair for the L shaped desk...so...I really DO NEED this

Arrgggh!! I knew I should have picked it up at the store. Had it delivered so if I get the low price guarantee I lose the free shipping. Oh well...could add on a few packs of PostIT! notes.
Leather one currently shows as $59.99 for me. Just ordered it with the $15 off so $42 total with tax. Going to pick it up tonight. My parents have a different model of this same chair and it's really nice.

**EDIT** THe price really is $49.99 but the website keeps changign from 49 to 59 to 49 to 59. I called them up and they credited me the $10 but since my total was then under $50, I also oredered some paper clips for $1. Grand Total $39.
I just place my order for the chair. Listed at $49.99 on the Office Depot web site. Added some Bic Pens for $0.89 and applied the $15 off $50 coupon. Total shipped cost, including tax, is $38.22.

well it went back to 59.99 for both chairs so after tax and coupon it turns out to about $49 hurry get the fabric it feels so much sweeeter on yoru back!
When I called up and mentioned that I was having an item keep showing different prices, the rep said straight out "Is it a chair?". I said yes and she said they had just LOWERED the price but things weren't saving. You might want to call them up and see what they tell you. I originalyl called the main number frmo their website, then they gave me a different number for the website information. I called 1-800-937-3600 x83028 and the person I got was very friendly and helpful. Even gave me the $15 off $50 without me having to give her the code since she had one handy.
Just called the number, didn't work. They transferred to web site guy, he say I could get 99 - 15 coupon, then a catalog guy said it would be $59.99, but he couldnt accept the coupon. What a run-around.
