Using CoreTemp and the Intel thermal analysis tool, I'm showing 40-42c idle, and that's with default voltage. It hits another 10c higher than that with both cores under 100% load. Right now, I have it watercooled using a Koolance Exos and AS5 under the water block, so you would think it would be somewhat lower (and oddly turning the fans up full blast on it makes little difference). I'm wondering if having the X1900XT in the cooling loop would jack the temps that much?
I've gotten a stable overclock at 390x9 @ 1.4625v, and idle there reads high 40s / low 50s, again about +10c for both cores on 100% load. Ran dual Prime overnight for 8+ hours though and no errors. Works fine for games, as well, but I am concerned that's too much voltage and/or heat.
Should I just take the videocard out of the loop? I'm only watercooling it to cut down on the noise, anyway.
