Please see my proposed setup below. The main objective of this PC is to run the new Flight Simulator X. Price is not a main concern, but I definetely don't want to be 'wasting' any money either.

Please review my system specs, your thoughts are greatly appreciated. I do not plan on doing any over clocking.

CASE: Thermaltake Aguila SECC Black
POWER SUPPLY: THERMALTAKE TOUGH POWER 750W SLI
CPU: INTEL CORE 2 DUO EXTREME 6800 4MB DUAL CORE
HARD DRIVE: 2 x WD RAPTOR 10000RPM 74GB SATA (RAID-0)
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS STRIKER NVIDIA SLI
RAM: 4GB DUAL CHANNEL CRUCIAL BALLISTIX DDR2-800
VIDEO CARD: ASUS NVIDIA 8800GTX 768MB PCI-E

Some initial questions:
1. Is the C2D Exteme 6800 really worth the hefty pricetag or can I save $500 and go for the next model down (eg. E6600)
2. Is running the config in RAID-0 really that much added performance?
3. Thoughts on a nice elegant (not gamerish case) and power supply would also be greatly appreciated.

Of course all comments are welcome.

Cheers

I'd drop the CPU to a E6600, change the RAID 0 array to a single 150gb Raptor, and add an addition 320-ish hd for storage.

Besides, if one of those speedy hard drives dies in a RAID0, you've lost all your data and no-one wants that.

what everyone else said about the cpu and the hard drive.

also get rid of that crap case and power supply. get a silverstone or lian li case, and either a silverstone, enermax or seasonic power supply.

Antec P180, Silverstone TJ06/TJ07/TJ09, or any Lian-Li. Go with a Corsair or Seasonic PSU.

If you're not overclocking, you can save quite a few bucks by going with DDR2 667 RAM.
