huh? If there's such a shortage of them, why wouldn't you be working then?

Oh, this is just verbatim from the guy who towed my car two days ago (belt snapped in the middle of the road). This was advice meant for the OP, not myself

Have him apply at a Union Freight Trucking Company like Yellow Freight or ABF for example. They start at $16hr and move up to top scale in 2 years of service. Right now top scale is around $21hr and with benefits. Don't have to pay .01 cent for you insurance.

BTW-Not all real estate agents are halfwits. My wife is a realtor. She has a Bachelors degree (from a Cal State school) in business and she was a property manager for 10 years working for companies like CB Commercial, Legacy Partners, Watt and John Burnham & Co.

Those are some damn good vacuum cleaners. They are expensive but they will last 20 years. My mom had on that lasted almost 25 years. And those things can do everything. Kirbys are some serious vacuums.

Do they really make that much out there? Around here they get about $15/hr.
Yup, in NJ they do.

One of my roomates does that and he does not get nearly that much.

Also dont forget that this really depends on where you live, you will make much more money up north in a big city than you would in bumfuk Alabama. However, with the cost of living increase most things equal out in the end.

I could probably be making triple in NYC what I make right now, but the cost of living is triple so ........

You need a Class A license, and one year experience or completed a company approved training program.

His dad was also a CEO of the largest bank in the North West. He was worth over $600 million before he got a 'loan' to start MS.

White kids do not get into Harvard unless they are rich. Trust me, my brother had some of the best test scores ever and he did not get in. They didn't BS him though - they came out and said, unless you are a minorty, or your parents are willing to donate at least 4x your yearly tuition, don't bother.

This means you can still get hired and work their dock and the company will train you for a CDL. Work/paid/free CDL training. Not bad in my book.

Most CDL Trucking schools you have to pay $3000 or more for the class and then they " might " be able to land you a job.

So they DO train you for a CDL and pay for it? I didn't see that on the site, so i wasn't sure. Hmmmmm....might have to look into this further. I hate my job.

Education is in now way a prerequisite to success as others have said, it simply opens more doors to those that have the necessary skills to succeed and provides hope to those that would otherwise fail.

Oh, and add welder and city bus driver to your initial list. Both make decent money and don't require too much schooling

World's hardest? Where did you get that? It's not even this country's hardest.

He has looked into this and in the Bay Area, there is anything but a shortage of tow truck drivers/companies.
