My dorm's bathroom (the one on my wing), has doors on the stalls but no locks.

Ditto, but for the first couple years, and part of the third. I had an epiphany one day and just quit caring. I poo'ed when I had to and didn't when I didn't. Made my senior year mucho better.

In Venice Beach, there was (is?) a public Women's bathroom that was *just* a toilet in the middle of the room. No walls of any kind. A homeless woman also lived in there.

<< In college, privacy in the bathroom was the least of our worries. It was a happy day when you went into the bathroom and didn't find it reeking of barf. We had 4 stalls for 16 people and out of desperation for at least one puke-free toilet we formed the "Stall #1 Club". The first stall was reserved for regular bathroom business, and anyone caught puking there was fined $10 and had to clean it. If an offender didn't comply with the fine and cleaning he was barred from using stall #1 any more. Further offenses meant Mac (the big, angry Irish guy on our wing) would kick your ass.

Sounds ridiculous, but it worked very well. Only two fines and one ass-kicking in four semesters. >>



Our dorm is a converted girls dorm, so basically we have no urinals. Because of this we made a #1 stall & #2 stall. Basically the only penalty for using the wrong stall is death.

Well, my school didn't have soap in the bathrooms for the longest time. I know a lot of people don't wash their hands anyways, but talking about at least sending the wrong message about washing your hands after you go...

If you go at home regularly, it's not a problem. I went to my high school for four years without ever going #2 there. One of my best accomplishments...

I think that's a pretty common thing in high schools. My HS didn't have doors on the stalls, and I didn't think it was a big deal. I sure as hell never looked at anyone taking a crap, and I never caught anyone looking at me.

I don't know if he's making this up, but I know of a similar situation in Sylvan Beach NY (except the toilet is in full view of the door, which is in full view of a main gathering place (like a main sidewalk were there is always tons of ppl).

No, it was definitely there, along the bike path. Every time I went in there there was this homeless woman who would glare at you, and a line of people in bikinis. I think they did it to prevent drug activities or maybe prostitution, but it was intolerable. The room was about 12' x14' and the toilet was right in the middle. There were some sinks near the door and one of those scratch-proof, metal mirrors. I have no idea what the men's room lookeed like :disgust:

Actually as far as I know, there was no homeless person in there. I didn't go in there myself (it was the ladies room), but my girlfriend told me about it (as we looked for another bathroom).

LOLOLOL That is so comical! If the only toilet was in a room like that, i would rather do my business in the water, even if it was #2 :Q

Recently they took off the dividers between our stalls along with the absence of doors. So YES, that's right, we just have toilets sitting in the middle of nowhere. My school sucks donkey balls.

We got four stalls in main bathroom (there are three other rooms, but pretty much unusable.. never have soap or papertowel and reeks like f***) and its not uncommon for three of them to be taken at once before the morning class. We are so used to it and people often talk while sitting on the can.

Its not like we're doing something exotic though. We figured everyone has to sit on can one time or another so its never a big deal here.


Fortunately the main bathroom is kept reasonably clean. If people wanted some privacy they could use the one upstair cuz its rarely used, but boy its a fu*kin mess in there. Paper towel all over the floor, stinks bad enough you'd be knocked out within three seconds.

Wow me too. I always wondered why I was so gassy in high school. All this time I thought it was the mystery meat!

the HS i attended had no doors on the stalls in the boys room. it was always funny when some dude would leave the classroom for a bathroom break and then come back and announce that he saw a faculty member sitting in there taking a 2. furthermore, one of my friends who was a basketball player became traumatized when one day, he was going and the coach walked in and was standing there, talking to him about an upcoming game while the guy was trying to go. we did have stall doors in the girls room though. i don't see why the guys couldn't have doors on the stalls because no one ever smoked in or vandelized the bathrooms.

but while on the topic of bathroom stall doors, the locks on the doors in the girls room would jam from time to time. this was no big deal because the space between the door and the floor was large enough to allow for an escape. however, one day, this larger girl tried to make an escape and became trapped between the door and the floor and started screaming for help. it was pretty funny.

I probably started this thread cuz I was bored, but I have too many other things to worry about in school, like how would I finish that homework before that, shoot I'm not prepared for my speach, lets see whats a good souding excuse for me being late to my first period(the REAL reason=I overslept.)

Trust me there was always more poop on the walls and toilet seat than in the actual toilet at my school.. I'd rather hold it in.. but then again I guess you didn't have a crush on your school nurse.. I'd use any excuse just to see her.. but that was middle school, my high school had actual bathrooms that didn't look like a human feces warzone..
