Define ideal conditionl and how much you're willing to compromise.

For me, its no piss on the floor, clean and got plenty of paper. >>



yup, you've pretty much nailed my ideal conditions. floor has to be clean (not spotless, but clean), the walls inside the stall has to be clean, the toiler seat and area surrounding the toilet has to be clean, and last but not least the air inside the bathroom has to be of decent quality.

of course bathrooms are not going to smell like a bed of roses, but damn it if i take a crap in a bathroom where it smells like a morgue. :disgust:

The poll shows over 70% of HS' attended by AT'ers have stall doors in guy's room, but our school fits in the 16% or so that doesn't have doors.

<< I hated this about high school. I developed bad bowel habits because of intense fear of having to take a crap in a stall with no doors. I was always worried about it. Every morning I forced myself to take a crap before going to school because I didn't want to ever have to take a crap there.

Sometimes I just pushed and pushed but very little came out. Or I forced my crap out before it was ready. As a result the stool was not well formed and left bits and pieces in my lower intentines. These little bits of crap in my lower intestines generated gas. So, basically I was always gassy during high school. I always felt like I had to take a crap or fart. Or I developed diarerea because of the constant worrying of having to take a crap there. >>


:Q My story is almost the same! I graduated HS 10 years ago, so I don't know if the bathrooms have changed, but they did not have doors on the stalls when I was there. Between each tiolet was a 4 foot high cinderblock wall. You had no privacy...I would almost call it illegal. Before somebody says "toughen up": If other kids would just leave you alone to crap, it MIGHT be OK, but 14-18 year olds are freakin' children and if anybody attempted to go, they would get stuff thrown at them, teased, surrounded by a congregation of watchers...AMAZING! You simply could not go in those bathrooms.

I developed major digestive problems as a result of these uncivilized bathrooms. I visited the nurse's office to use her bathroom (normal home type) but she thought I went to her office too much so I was placed "under investigation". Absolutely ridiculous.

I can only guess that they removed the doors all in the name of smoking, which was a failed effort because the kids still smoked in the bathrooms. Since the school's "crusade" against smoking caused me physical harm and distress, it probably was in my right to sue the district to put regular doors on the stalls. I'm not kidding.

My highschool just had one of those pits with a plank across it. But I've got to say one thing about it: we had 3-ply toilet paper, so at least it wasn't too rough.
