So I'm 32 now, I found my H.S. yearbook from the class of 2000. I have most of my H.S. alumni on facebook. It's pretty interesting seeing the contrast of where they were in H.S. and where they are now!!!!!
-The H.S. bully who was big shit works in construction making a few hundred dollars a week and was on facebook recently crying about how he makes so little due to child support payments and his vehicle is becoming shit!
-A stuck up girl who did very well for herself, was in the high social bee, she now works for the Dollar Store.
-A whole slew of jocks working mediocre jobs (wage based, low autonomy).
-One person is incarcerated, popular kid (another big shit).
-One other person I knew was a genius, he would build circuits etc.... His grades were much better than me! He achieved a near perfect SAT score. Now he's installing residential solar panels on top of roofs.
-Many other examples that include most of the 260 or so graduating class.
-One person got into the Naval Academy. Made a big deal about it, bragged about it to my face!!! A few months later I saw him at Advance Auto Parts in rough shape. I asked him about the Naval Academy, he mumbled and said he was at community college!!!!
The H.S. I went to made a huge deal about the performance of the students. The school had an above average SAT score, high average GPA and high number of valedictorians. They published this data on the front of the yearbook to show how good their students were. Yet many of them went to community college and/or in general ended up mediocre.
