True but were you or any of our other "well adjusted" posters subjected to abuse in H.S. or at home or in relationships, etc? It's pretty easy to be critical of others (not pointing a finger at you) if you haven't been in their shoes. I know I've done it.

I agree. That's why I've tried to avoid judging OP and focused on helping him move past what you have to agree is at the very least an unhealthy mental attitude.

While I agree that there can be only one valedictorian in a given class, it has NOTHING to do with grades, class rank, or any of that other bullshit. Though the valedictorian is usually given the honor over such achievement, it is not necessary. The valedictorian is the student who gives the farewell speech at graduation, period. If there is more than one student speaking, the LAST speaker is the valedictorian.

Any school that calls more than one student valedictorian knows as much of the definition as you.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valedictorian

Unfortunately, that isn't quite accurate either.

The valediction is just the CLOSING speech, and nothing says it has to be delivered in completion by a single person. I've seen schools have the valediction done in tandem with multiple students.

The honor in the past for delivering the Valediction has been usually handled by a single person called the Valedictorian who typically was the student with the highest "achievement" for the year. Which most schools have that set as the highest grade point average, but even that isn't always the highest "achievement" either.

So no, a Valedictorian is a person that delivers the valediction. There is nothing to state that the valediction must only be said by a single person or single Valedictorian.

Sounds like my graduating class, but the hot chicks are still not bad looking.

The average people seem to have been the most successful from my class though. I suspect that alot of the high grade point kids, had parents pushing them to get good grades, once they were out on there own, no one was encouraging them to go any further.

+1

I was probably 30 before a light went on and I realized why my older siblings caused me so much grief as a kid. It had had nothing to do with them and everything to do with my father not being a Dad. Understanding goes a long way.

There was a movie scene like what we're discussing, nerd abused in HS makes bank as an adult. He meets with one of the main abusers/jock/now loser and he greets the nerd like a brother. He doesn't even remembering abusing the guy.....

At least that's the way I remember the scene.

I went to a school in the boonies and its was the same thing

I was the odd person, Played 3 sports but not the big ones and was really smart. cpl people used to give me shit until I snapped and sent one of them to the hospital,

yeah but you didn't make a thread about how you are so much better than everyone else.

At 21 she's hotter. In fact, many of the plain, not-so-hot chicks are smoking hot at 21.

At 26 there's a 75% chance she's still hot.

At 31 many are starting to look worn - less than 50% chance she's still hot.

At 36 she's been married, now has two kids - 33% chance of residual hotness.

At 41 she's got teenage kids who are hammering her ... hotness probability less than 20%.

At 46, they have kids in college and they're just plain wrung-out. Less than 1 in 10,000 of the high school hotties are still anything that could be considered hot.

How do you know? Solar panels are hugely incentivized right now so there's money to be made. It's possible he's an independent contractor setting his own hours/rates and coming away with a nice amount of small business write offs.

People flock to this country by the millions have control over their lives and run their own businesses. That's more than a cube monkey or disposable middle manager can say.

He's an employee of a company that he has no bearing in... He's W-2

:hmm: Your story keeps changing. Must be false

I went to my 10 year reunion and the hot chick I had a crush on was still hot. Time granted me the ability to see she was pretty dumb though

I hope you really didn't think when someone says they are making $260 a year, they are not referring to Two Hundred Sixty Dollars a year!!!!!!

I'm sure some of these folks are more happy, adding more value and giving more back to society than you. So no, they are not below you. You should seek some counseling on your poor self-esteem issues.

I've gone back to my last high school reunions and had a great time catching up with old friends and people I didn't really talk to in high school. The smart folks became doctors, lawyers, CEO's or entrepreneurs. Other's are making great money and happy as plumbers, electricians and police officers.

A former basketball/baseball teammate was a recruiter for a company that I was interested in. I sent him my resume, got an interview the next week and job offer the following week.

High School was a great time, maybe b/c I was a jock that loved playing sports and friends with almost everyone. It was great to hear how the parent's of some of my hs friends were doing b/c they treated me so well back then. With it being a small world, later on I would learn that the mother of a classmate was the person who had knitted a scarf for me for last year's Boston Marathon.

I really don't care about giving back to society. I care about giving to myself!!!!! You can cure cancer, feed the hunger, sew clothes for the needy. Someone will always do that, i'll stick to racking in the dough.....

OP is his own worst enemy.

Just say they hated on you.
You make a crap ton more than they do or ever will.
The guys/women are fat losers.
Post the video of the girl initially blowing the guy off until she realizes he has a sports car.
Realize they don't remember you.

You're welcome. That'll be $85.00

Who cares? If he is happy, what difference does it make?

exactly.

op is bitter and makes great money and for some reason re-living high school.

here's a news flash no matter what part of your life you think about there's gonna be bumpy roads, focus on the good times.

As long as you bill two people $85 each for the same block of time just like the OP does, I'm sure it is fine!
Well, I'm liking your train of thought.

Got a purchase order # or tax ID for me? Hell, If I could charge the posters that needed help, I'd be rich.

That's partly why I married my wife. Cheaper than the therapy sessions...

Thanks for proving my point. A loser in high school and a loser in adulthood.

Like I send, I'm sure there are many people from your high school that were better than you then and are still better than you now.

But keep creating these threads, you appear to need them for your lack of self-esteem.

If you're still thinking about this and dick measuring in your 30's I think maybe you left high school but it hasn't left you.

This thread reminds me of a similar thread where an OP posts about how he's fed up and sick of something....people post mainly calling him out a bit, telling him he needs to change, etc. OP does not take any advice, continues to be stubborn and go on and on and on, while people get more annoyed, and lay on the heat even harder.

That's not working out so well in the other thread..... :hmm:

You must have missed his thread last year. His "income" might be impressive (if it is even true), but there is this little technicality where he is working another job while his primary employer his paying him to supposedly do his job. In other words, he is double-dipping. I'm surprised that thread wasn't nominated for the self-ownage category because at first, he claimed his current boss was "OK" with it and then as people called BS, he basically admitted what he was doing and said "playing by the rules" was for suckers.
