High schoolers getting COLLEGE letters yet?

Even though I don't plan on going or even applying to these schools, and realize that I wouldn't get into half of them..it's a nice feeling nonetheless

The most major college I've received a letter from has to be the University of Chicago..how about you guys?

Ive been getting them all through High School but a lot the last two years. Started off with just crappy ones, but Ive gotten some better ones like Duke and Pepperdine. And thats with only a 1270 SAT, 30 ACT and 10th in class of 231 scoring. I can only imagine what the geniuses are getting.

Jesus.. you better believe it. I scored a 1290 on the PSAT and you'd think I got a 1600 with a 100+ GPA by the # of letters I'm recieving, lol. I'm up to 3 or 4 a day and got 8 at once last week, wow.. haha, though 75% of them are completely out of the question.. there are a few that I'll be looking into.

Well I only actually applied to one school, and I got in so it all worked out. Ill be going to Texas A&M next year majoring in Computer Engineering. All those letters I recieved I just trashed.

Yeah I'm getting a TON. Which is to be expected considering I took my PSAT (the one that counts) and got a 237 on that and then 2 months later took my SAT and got a 1560 on that.

I've recieved many of them. Biggest one I believe was University of Miami so far. Had around a 1100 on my PSAT, taking SATs in March, and gonna take the ACT whenever I get the chance.

Uh.. I have a 100+ GPA. It's like having >4.0 in other places.

i get tons of them...ive learned to never check that little box on the PLAN, PSAT, etc about having colleges contact you

uh ive gotten them from CalTech, MIT, and my local community college...im keeping MIT in reserve just in case the community college wont accept me, ha

I've gotten them from Caltech, Colo School of mines, Tulane University, Whitman College, Columbia University, Willamette University, and Washington and Lee University. That's just in the past two days.


Previously, I think I have gotten mailings from schools such as Oregon, Oregon State, University of Chicago, Reed College, University of Miami, and a few others. Caltech I definitely sent back for more info

I'm getting a lot of crap..I got a 1490 on the PSAT, have an A-/B+ average (we use an 8.0 scale, i'm a 6.9), today I got ones from Colorado Institue of Mining, Ithaca College, Columbia! Hell yeah, Colorado Institue of Mining, . Columbia is probably the best I've gotten so far...although I got some stuff about summer programs from various schools..One that caught my attention was U of Miami, and it actually looks pretty good, so my family and I are going to visit it in a couple weeks.

Coolest so far is the US Army Reserves...I signed up to get more info just to get a free t-shirt that says Army of One! Pretty cool if you asked me

Man, I'm getting SOOO many letters it's not even funny. I got two of the same letters from UCLA in the same day. I actually did pretty poorly on my PSAT's, only 1270 but I am #8 in the class out of 425 or so with a 3.99999999999999999999999999999999993 or something Damn History of the Americas. I've gotten stuff from Columbia, MIT and some other schools, but still haven't gotten one from CalTech yet, I think that they probably don't advertise at all though, since it is so hard to get in anyways, (500 accepted out of 4000 and 250 matriculate each year)... You can tell how badly I want to get in this school... .

i got them but the butt load since sophomore year and the freakin PLAN test, i got a nice letter from Yale on my wall, hehe.
