Hello,
I have an i5 2500k with an Antec Kuhler H2O 620. I used to have a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3, and the CPU ran at around 37 degrees idle. However, now, I have a BIOSTAR TZ77XE3, and the i5 2500k is overclocked to 4.0ghz. However, I'm getting 55-65 degrees idle, and as hot as 80 degrees under load.
What exactly is going wrong? I've tried reapplying thermal paste. Also, the bracket at the back that is stuck to my motherboard has one side of it pushed against the ends of capacitors, but the bracket seems to be contacting the motherboard just fine.
Thanks
