Highpoint RocketRaid 4320 help plz

For people that are using this card, I need to ask you about the e-mail reporting function. I have this card set-up in vista 32. I cannot get the email to work, test sending email always returns failed to send message.

I am sure I configured the smtp (server/ip, username, password, port) correctly and used several email accounts, such as gmail and yahoo settings. I have also tested the smtp ports that gmail/yahoo say to set, along with the non-SSL ports, if those are still even valid. I disabled the windows firewall, but am unsure if I need or what ports to forward in my router.

I have tried both using the card's ethernet and the motherboard's ethernet. I also updated to the latest firmware to try out. What I do notice is that there is no option to turn on SSL authentication.

If you have experience with this, please help me out. Thank you so much.

are you sure the mail accounts you are using allow external programs to send mail as a pass through? (pop3 style)

I use Highpoint RocketRaid 4322, maybe I can give you a help.
Step1: login RocketRaid 4322 web gui plug RJ-45 cable in RAID card, press "setting"-"network"to set up useful local area network IP address before Broadband Router.
Step2: you must have SMTP server address(generally speaking, gmail/yahoo doesn't have SMTP server address, you must apply for normal E-mail)key into "Server address"
Step3: "Mail from"key into your e-mail address
Step4: key in your login name(username)&password from your E-mail address
Step5: key in SMTP port(default=25), if your mail provider ruled different port, please change it.
Step6: set up"Add recipient", key in your E-mail address&name(nickname) and press "Test".If your configure successfully , you will get a message--Mail has send successfully or you will get --failed to send mail
