It's fairly reasonable to assume at this point that Hillary is going to bow out and the DNC is going to have to select a backup to run for president. Several weeks of solid rest and recovery is going to tank the Democratic campaign. It's the best thing for the party and it's the best thing for her health.
No...it won't be Tim Kaine. I'm going to place my bets and say that Bernie gets the nomination. Bernie has the energy and the votes...and the stuff to take on Trump.
Is it the best choice? I would just say it is the most logical.
