From the scrapheap Lenovo I found. It is currently "dead" in the sense that it won't turn a computer on and I think two failing caps are the reason why. The LED indicator showing that there is good lights, but is flashing and makes an electrical crackle.
If you trick it into turning on, the 5v and 12v lines give out those voltages even at no load or just a small fan.
But man, this may be a 250W PSU, but it is heavy. Lenovo didn't put a lightweight in here.
Note the case this thing came out of is severely dust-clogged, even on the front USB ports. Nay for negative air pressure in dusty environments, perhaps?
I don't know much about the EE theory behind the PSU. Any experts that can provide some extra insights for us all?
