HIS R9 290X Hybrid ICEQ GPU - any chance this makes it to the U.S?

Just ran across this beauty. I really think that these type of hybrid air / water cooled GPU's offer the best balance of cooling and OC capabilities. I'm wondering if there's a chance these make it to the states, or if HIS plans to sell the cooling kit.

Interesting, seems like it'd be an excellent 290X, so long as the price is right. However, I am of the mind that it has arrived too late. Refreshes are coming in what, a month, maybe two?

this is what the ref. first R290x should have been against the gtx 780ti
if amd wants to win mind share it won't happen with that crap ref. cooler knowing that they would be killed by reviewers.
-hoping the cpu's guys before next release were fired or kicked out of the gpu section.
-but of coarse they could be there on their apple laptops and never play a game on a pc , but I have a feeling the house was cleaned given the neg. back lash on a gpu cooler that was released under a stock cpu cooler ,oh over heating to bad oh well it's free.

Who is buying reference cards today? What percentage of the overall 290/290X sales do you think are reference cards?

This model is factory overclocked to 1100 MHz Core Clock, making it the fastest graphics card of the same class on the market.

I dunno . . . the cheapest 780Ti is ~620 USD, and has only 3GBs of VRAM. A 290X at stock keeps pace with the 780Ti. OC'd by 100Mhz, should make it a victor in more tests.

I've always liked HIS. Besides the gaudy 280x they've always had nice looking coolers that perform well. They had the coolest, quietest hd 7770 on the market. IIRC they made an aftermarket one like this for the 7970 that you installed yourself.
