Id REALLY like to have two of these coolers. I went from GTX's with NV5's on them, to X1900's in CF. While the X1900's are not that loud to me, they are much louder than NV5's which are virtually silent. I would like to have some aftermarket cooling for my X1900's, but as of now, they all dump the air inside the case. I do not want that.. these would be perfect.

As it is, this card is 44db, the same as the 7900GTX according to guru3d.

i'd like one for pretty much the same reason. while the ref cooler doesn't annoy me, it is noticeable, and i would prefer the silence my nv5 gave me.

the strange thing on this particular cooler is that AC usually releases to retail first, then they end up on HIS cards. this time, they're being marketed on HIS cards, and AC's website doesn't even show it in their products, let alone sell it to the retail channel.

kind of makes me wonder if we'll even see it as an aftermarket cooler

Lol. Seriously I could care less what my card physically looks like. Your head would have to squeeze in between my graphics card and my sound card to even get a glimpse of what sticker I have on my "ugly" ATI card. Unless you have a contortionist's body and a 4" narrow head, than that is not going to happen.

wutever good looking is somehow important! u wudnt buy an iPod with wires and just the board with screen on it..u need some good looking covers..i just think that GPU's should be covered with something nice..well, not completely covered 4 sure but just to make u feel that u paid for a good engineered piece

I agree that nVidia's card partners in general have better support than ATI's partners. And in truth, I find the ATI branded cards terrible as far as warranty goes. One of the reasons people like eVGA is not because of quality of the card, which is pretty much reference design but their warranty and customer service is excellent.

I disagree about the aesthetic aspects of the graphics card. They're usually turned sideways and as I've told someone else a while ago, are you going to display your video card in a little glass case for all to see or are you going to stick it in your computer where it's impossible for anyone to see it? Personally I stick my video cards in my computer case. Even with a windowed case (which I have), it's impossible to see the art design on the card. I'd rather have a well engineered piece of hardware than a pretty one.

As for the iPods. I bought one because of it's superior UI and control. Yes, I like my portable gadgets to be aesthetically pleasing but to me, and I've used a few brands, the best user interface and control is on the iPods.

I agree. I am worried about it getting to retail as well. Its not looking good at all.

oops, you're right. And when you do any other xtx card + and after market cooler, it's in the same price range. So i guess this is the one you want if you like having the heat pushed out the back and not into the case.

If someone sees this anywhere else than Monarch, pls post it. Monarch says it's a 4-6 day delay for any order of it, and no where else shows it in stock at all. I suspect they plan on getting their stock in in 4-6 days and have jumped the gun to get the edge over competition..
