I'm from Cali but go to school out of state, i want to buy it before i go back for xmas break since most of the stores i buy from and fry's charge tax cuz they have a presense in CA.

i think i found it click, but i e-mailed them and it only has a 90 warranty. I'll pass and get the 3 yr warranty for $246 when its back in stock at zipzoomfly

I wasn't joking, but the reason I presented it as a rumor rather than as fact is because I have not been able to confirm it with a link.

I remember seeing a faxed in price sheet on my boss's desk that listed a Toshiba 50GB 7200RPM drive. I went to Toshiba's site that night, but was unable to find any information. This was 2-3 months ago. Given the price that was listed next to it, it could have been a misprint as it seemed to be inline with the price of the 5400RPM 60GB drives at the time, and that seemed too low for a 7200RPM drive.

Hey what do you know, they do exist (and my memory works well regarding the 50GB size). See here. My company has bought from this company in the past. I will not say any comments on this company as I am currently undecided.
