Boy am I glad that I went the 7970 over the 770 a few years ago. The 7970 keeps chugging along like a champ in these newer games while the 770 and its brethren seems to be slowing down.
DX11, that seems to be the limit of the CPU at 1080p, for all GPUs, including NV's Titan X.
It took years, but the 7970 finally matches the Titan OG at 1080p. That card is a legend of longevity.
2016 i am talk about. The Division, Gears of War, and Rise of The Tomb Raider are far far better ports then any gaming evolve port this year and it will and all gaming evolve sales faith will be like Hitman and ATOS which are non selling. AMD need to stop desperate DX12 attempts or they follow path of Hitman sales. How come AMD Evolved didn't kill the original Tomb Raider then?

Hitman game is good. If you look the review 90% people are complaining about DX11 problem and DX12 crashing and bsod problem on Nvidia. I told last time and again that majority matters 90% of the time when you are selling game on PC.You believe the GPU vendor behind the game is more important than the actual game itself?
For example:
If Gears of War, The Division and Rise of the Tomb Raider were GE titles
and AOTS and Hitman were Gameworks
Would AOTS and Hitman have sold well?

Some poster thought that Hitman will be port of the year and game of the year. Only i was the one who said this game will simply go down because too much focus on minority.
As i said before that Hitman was dead on sight. Why?
They focus too much on AMD which caused game sales down to the gutter. They simply forget about DX11 due to AMD desperate DX12 attempts. 52% negative review on steam simply because performance issues on Nvidia card even on DX11. Even on forum square enix said that they are really disappointed with the sales on PC with this game. Of course the will die if they game is focusing on only 20% of PC users.
AMD evolve developers now need to learn from Rise of the Tomb Raider and The Division that do not cripple DX11 performance to make a certain vendors.
Why The Division and Rise of the Tomb Raider sold well on PC because they target majority and make sure that it is playable for every not only for minority in PC gaming which do not even contribute in 5% games sales.
Gears of Wars and Rise of The Tomb Raider are far better ports then AMD evolve 2016.
So you believe Hitman game is a great game, but held back by AMD.
Ok, what about AOTS? Do you think AOTS would be a good game if it was developed by someone that wasn't Oxide and Nvidia helped them implement DX12?
How do you explain Hitman doing worse on console relative to Rise of the Tomb Raider? Did AMD hold back the game on console as well?
Hitman is plagued with problems same as 90% of all PC ports in the last year. This includes Gameworks - Dying Light's broken CPU usage, RotR's broken CPU usage, Just Cause 3's horrendous loading times, glitches, memory leaks and CPU suck, (still a fun game tho) ARK: Survival Evolved, Gears of War, Watch Dogs, Batman: Arkham Knight, Far Cry 4, Fallout 4...Hitman game is good. According to Steam survey, NV outnumbers AMD 2:120% of PC users
Game was dead on sight when people saw beta performance and how much game was one sided. It's a bit simplistic to say the game hasn't sold well "simply" because of bad performance on Nvidia. I haven't read every user review online obviously but I saw a lot of criticism from people regarding the episodic nature of the game / lack of content, the DRM and various other bugs and glitches. You seen to be imply the game failed entirely due to it being a Gaming Evolved title.
Also recent quarterly sales ≠ market share (no doubt Nvidia are clearly in the majority).

Hitman sucks, no doubt about it, but other GE titles like Dirt: Rally, Battlefield 4 and Battlefront were/are, relatively speaking, paragons of PC done right.

Probably, perhaps nothing to do with releasing a game with only 1/6th the content.
If your theory of games flopping is how well they run for AMD vs NV, last I checked, The Division runs really well on AMD and it's Ubisoft's biggest hit, ever.
What about Battlefront? Great looking game, runs great on AMD, but lacking in content...

Sold 12 million copies. TWELVE MILLION!
Now, mostly it's console, but that's where the $ is for these studios. Ofc they are going to optimize for console. Just like Far Cry Primal, runs great on AMD, console selling great, money in the bank. Want a repeat? Need for Speed, the new one, performs excellent on AMD, but it's an afterthought because it's made with console optimizations in mind so that it runs well on PS4.
It was dead when they launch Beta and did not even comment about Nvidia performance and simply deleted topics in their forum about Nvidia performance.I really like Hitman, but I was immediately turned off when I heard about their business model for the game. This was months before anyone heard anything about performance! I am sure a lot of other fans of the series felt the same way.
I could easily afford it, but I am an advocate of voting with your dollar. So, now instead of getting full retail from me, I will be picking it up the whole game on greenmangaming for a few dollars next year.
Well then, better all those NV users upgrade to AMD GPUs then because more DX-12 games are coming

you clearly understand what was done. The game was only focusing to sell AMD GPUs not the game it self. Same faith will follow with Total Warhammer if they botch like Hitman for the sake of AMD.
I am talking about PC. Do you know what is PC?
‘greater sales than Far Cry 4 when adjusted for the number of days the games sold within their respective launch months’.
You are just talking non sense. I am talking about PC and you are talking about Console. First learn the difference between console and PC then you post in tech topics.Do you think these big studios care that a game runs sub-optimal on NVIDIA when the bulk of their sales are on consoles? Unless NV pays to sponsor the port, they are gonna get sub-optimal performance, that's just how AAA cross-platform development works. Target the console hardware and optimize it.
I already showed you Battlefront, AMD sponsored. 12M copies.
What about the new Far Cry Primal? Not NV sponsored, runs much better on AMD.
Record sales.

So, you're dreaming if you think these AAA studios care whether NVIDIA is running 10-20% worse than AMD. If NV wants them to care, they have to folk out the $$.
