HK or Sig Sauer?

I am almost 21. I can get a 228 for a really good deal. But .40 HKs are soooo nice looking! they feel good too! but they are a bit big, so i guess a 228 sounds more reasonable, what do you guys think?

yeah that is the thing. HKs are sooo nice! they feel good, sound good, just all around nice gun. I shot one a few weeks ago, and i didn't have any problems with it. of course my brother has a 228 and has put 5,000 (at least) rounds through it and it hasn't had any major malfunctions.

I would take the HK, but that is only because I have bigs hands and it indeed "feels right", that is one of the more important things for me.

WOW $350 is a awesome price. I have never fired one though, my .40 USP is SWEET!!!! Recoil is no problem, and accuracy is well, perfect.

Soyboy004: I have a Colt 1991A1 Stainless. Its the full size model, it is also sweet, these two guns are my favorite full size pieces.

If you can get a Sig 228 w/3 mags for 350, and it's in good shape, buy it. That's an absolutely outstanding price, and the 228 is one of the best handguns, if not the best, of the last quarter century.

Otherwise, Sig. Actually I'd rather have a Commander length 1911 by Wilson, but that wasn't a choice.

Either way you go, these are the 2 best semi-autos you can get.

The HK feels like a 1911, only it such a better gun than the 1911 will ever be.

And the Sig is just as great as the HK, if it fits your hand better, get it. The 9mm is cheap to shoot, and the soft recoil will let you shoot alot, so you will get more practice in. Once you get to be a real good shot, then you can buy a Sig in a good defensive chambering, like .45ACP.
