No, they link you to the actual file. Give it a location and hit Save.

These aren't teasers...they are in game footage of different situations. HL2 is a step above DOOM 3 easy. DOOM 3 has little substance, its the same story with fancy lighting, bump mapping and shadows...while it LOOKS good, looks do not = good game.

I find it amusing that even though HL2 will probably rock.. the amount of people playing CS based on HL1 will still be high to the point where HL2 multiplayer will just be so-so, with a HL2 CS that not many people will end up playing. I hope I'm wrong though :/ One reason CS is so popular now is that even crapbox computers can run it.

Will the new physics engine make modding difficult? Any ideas on whether a worldbuilder will be released with the game? Linux server editions? I wonder if the worldbuilder will be completely object-oriented...like you have to define the physical properties of objects (wooden box vs. cardboard box vs. steel container, weight, density, solid/liquid, combustible, etc. etc.) before you can place them in a map.

WOW!!!! I just watched the 4 gameplay videos (20 minutes of in game footage!) that are up on IGN.

AMAZING!!! The striders rule. I love the weapon that can pick up things and throw them (metal only I think). That thing is awesome.

I also loved when he threw the nade under the dumpster, it tiped over, fell off the ledge, and onto the dudes below. The physics in the game are sweet!

Me either. I don't think I've ever seen anything so impressive in my life. Last time I thought this was Max Payne... but Half-Life 2 is just amazing.
