As of now, every American website has half life 2 coming out in late march/early april. The site they linked to was a UK site - who's to say that the game will come out simultaneously both in the US and the UK?

In related news, it doesn't look like Doom3 is coming out till at least June.

I dont think that will happen because it would really look bad on ATI for pushing their latest cards with HL2 on the box and it would be down right stupid to release these two games so close together cause the public can only chew so much.

Bad news people, my source has also indicated that the release date for Half Life 2 is now 24/09/04 but is subject to change.

Do you think Half Life 2 will even be released this year and if so does that mean ATI have used dubious marketing to sell their video cards with the promise of a game which hasn't even been released?

BTW do those vouchers for Half Life 2 have a time limit on them or have they all expired already?

Gameplay are usually pretty accurate and I trust their judgement more than most.

It will look great on gf2mx...how else they going to sell a lot of copies unless it's playable by the majority of hardware? Sure it won't be played at 1200x1600 with full goodies maxed out but it will be at least as good looking as the first one. Anyway, I'm more waiting for doom3..that was my favorite game of all time back in school.

it was orignaly planed for the last friday of september, last year. then valve's network got hacked and the sroce code wound up all over the net. they have not presented a date sense then so it has been delayed once and for a damn good reason at that. now one game store desides to set the date one year up from the orignal date and every moron and their friend has to make some idiotic comment about it eh?
