Quick funny confederate flag story:

I'm working at a bike shop (years ago) and these two yokels pull up in a mega-lifted truck with not one, but TWO full-sized confederate flags flying on poles mounted at an angle out of rear of hte truck bed. They park, get out, carefully remove the flags, roll them up, and put them in the cab. They then walk into the store (a cowboy boot store, natch) next to ours.

Five minutes later, they reemerge from the boot store, get the flags out, unroll them, reinstall them in the back of the bed and drive off. I almost pissed myself laughing at them and their little "ceremony".

Indeed! They aren't just reserved for vehicles either, Shockwave. I've seen large ones draping the front windows of trailers. God, I only wish I was kidding about that! Good ole boy syndrome is alive and well down here.
