Since that's all private property though, they probably can get away with it. Most normal developments are not that way though, the roads are not private property.

I do 100 in their area and then park in the presidents, and other board members, driveway and see how fast the rules get changed after that.

There are a few assholes who just let their fucking mutt shit on the ground and not pick it up, despite there being a sign in the middle of the grassy knoll with bags telling people to pick their fucking dog's shit up.

I guess the point of an HOA is to keep the riffraff (non-whites) out. To me these kind of restrictions on what you can do with your own property decrease its value. Who'd want that?

I've read about these crazy HOA's, but this kinda seems like what they should be enforcing instead of what car you have in your driveway, how tall your grass is, or what color you painted your fence..

Out of all the things I've read, if I belonged to an HOA, this would be what I would want them to do. If you are caught doing double the speed limit by an actual LEO, it's to my understanding that you can lose your license on the spot.

People seem to feel that because they're driving a car that everyone should be looking out for them and that the car always has the right of way. If you hit a parked car or a pedestrian while you're going the speed limit, you are fucked. You do that while going 60+ in a 30? double fucked.

HOAs suck for the most part. Either they are too strict or not strict enough. IMHO our HOA should send notices to about 75% of the residents of our community. Our HOA fees are insanely low yet some choose not to pay them for 7 or more years. Why have leins posted against your largest asset for pennies a day?

They joined the HOA. They knew what an HOA was and what an HOA does.

So, yes. I'm okay with that.

It's like joining a union, and then complaining that the union spends your dues on X, and you don't want to support X with your money.
