I go to Flyer games cause I live in the area. I was interested to see the crowd reaction and it was mixed. That tells me that I doubt McCain will carry PA. Flyer games without question represent the white working suburban class. With that reaction it tells me that McCain and Palin are not winning over that crowd in PA.

As I have said, Palin wouldn't make it through a Republican primary. Why?, she is so divisive and far to the right that she lacks the independent/moderate appeal to win a general election (besides, she is not the brightest crayon in the box).
Never mind her ideology; can you imagine Governor Palin saying "I may not answer the questions the way that either the moderator or you want to hear, but I'm going to talk straight to the American people and let them know my track record" in the snake pit of a Republican primary debate and not being ripped to shreds by the real Pit Bulls she will be facing there?

Tough crowd. Even bringing her two daughters out on the ice with her didn't earn any mercy from the crowd, which was so relentless with their booing that the music on the PA system had to be turned up to muffle it.

McCain has no chance in PA anyway, but it seems this crowd really *hates* her. Could they be serving her a dish of her own hate mongering, from her comments earlier this week about Obama "palling around with terrorists"?

the ol spin miester Jpeyton at it again.
Lots of crowd noise is mainly what I hear. If you watch the audience there are some nuetral disinterested ones, some clapping, and a few making thumbs down.
Your excitement over such things does not become you.

Unfortunate isn't the word I'd use to a describe a situation where a mom uses her kid as a shield. Faint tones of the Dead Zone, eh?

According to a Fox News blog, "The GOP Vice-Presidential nominee said at an earlier fundraiser that she would stop some of the booing from the rowdy Philadelphia fans by putting her seven year old daughter, Piper in a Flyers jersey."

I believe that if she hadn't come out with Piper it would have been worse. I'm glad it wasn't worse, because then the news would have been like "Obama supporters ALSO getting angry"

I guess you only hear what you want to hear.

Despite pleas from the scoreboard at the Wachovia Center, which read "Flyers fans, show Philadelphia's class and welcome America's No. 1 hockey mom, Sarah Palin," ABC News' Jake Tapper reports that the booing was so prevalent that the music had to be cranked up to "deafening" levels in order to compete with the fans from the city of Brotherly Love.

She'll definitely want to avoid Eagles home games when there's snow, ask Jimmy Johnson.

Ain't hypocrisy grand? The ones screaming out against something the loudest, seem to be the ones doing it the most.

On a side note about your sig: When my friends and I saw that movie shortly after its release, we rofl'd over it. Here we are years later, and when I saw last year's U.S. Open forms competitions, it was a truly WTF?!?! moment, because it looked like Gymkata. :brokenheart:
