yeah i saw that during the WJC too.

Anyway, these pickups aren't too difficult to do as long as you have tape on your stick... (not necessarily friction tape either). Ice hockey pucks are heavier so that helps too. It'd still take a few practices. But like the OP said... game situation would be unreal.

It's legal, as long as the puck is below the top goal post

There is no traveling in hockey As long as the stick is below the height of the net it's a legal move.
