i'm in ohio, usa and want solid gear at fair or better cost

see my sig for my current rig and almost complete 775 setup

i've got a av710 chaintech card and am thinking of picking up a X-FI Xmusic and/or an emu 0404 usb external

I've got a 32" QAM Sceptre LCDwith an open hdmi input just need to figure out if i want to use one set of mouse/kb or try out those kvm switchers.. Esata for storage

Dunno if the Canopus ADVC100 type unit is the way to go for VID CAPTURE


i've got a 6600gt and a 7600gt for now the 8800gtx is still way to pricey for my taste
i will eventually get something like the westy 37" 1:1 w3 lcd..

i may just want to lose the amd system and build a second c2d\quad sooner or later too..

I'm not a big gamer but do play quite a bit of AOE3wc and tad when it's released..

KVM it for sure unless you've got the desk real estate. If the LCD you're using has multiple inputs with a button to switch between them, you won't have to worry about shelling out the big bucks for an HDMI or DVI kvm.

Hey 88NovaTwin,

I currently have two computers, and I can tell you that it's fantastic. I'm still in need of a DVI-KVM switch, but even still, it's worth having.

I use multiple operating systems, and can't wait to have all of my computers (Vista Gaming/Linux Desktop and Macbook) easily connected so that I can switch between them on the fly.

Furthermore, I am a tinkerer, and oftentimes my systems are down. Mainly this is because I'm a moron. Anyways, having that second PC really alleviates my freakout sessions late at night. Both of my systems are in Antec P180s, and they look really badass next to each other. I'd recommend a similar situation for you.

Unless you plan on doing some of these tasks at the same time and one will impede the other, I see no reason on going with two systems.
