I was reading a wikipedia article today that mentioned somethingawful.com and that led me to stumble upon offtopic.com. About 20 posts every minute on that offtopic forum. Has ATOT ever been that busy?

What other forums do you frequent?

anyone post there? I never stayed too long because the only guy I knew who visited had a habit of viewing the image threads, most of which is NSFW... and disturbing.

i'm a member, i hadn't visited in over a year since they made the main forum sub-only and killed off 75% of the content...you think it moves quickly now should have seen it a couple years ago, threads would drop off the first page in less than a minute sometimes

i just popped in and made a thread and left lol, maybe i'll come back in another year

yes the good old days, ATOT is great but OT.com was insane with the amount of lulz you got nonstop, it used to be anything goes, i'd waste my whole day there, you literally could create a topic, refresh and your topic would be 1/2 way down the page already.

i left when they started charging to access the forums, which is sad since i did voluntarily pay to be a member there, but when you force people to do it, tons of people left and migrated to nn. i'm sure it's still good, i just refuse to pay now to
check it.

As others have said, I don't go because I'm not going to be forced into paying. I did have an active sub for several years before my last one ran out. I think it was right around the first of the year.

I do go to a few of the sub forums. The Cage is decent for MMA news/info.

Their Computer sub forum is OK. Not nearly the content here but worth checking out every now and then.

The Day Care is a great concept but some of the mods that post there are douches.

WMD is also decent for firearm related info.

I prefer to be on forums where I can remember at least a good number of the users.

ATOT between 2005 (when I joined) and 2007 seemed to be pretty active. I like the level of activity between what it is now and what it was then. Easy enough to check the forums once twice a day and keep up with all the active topics I have interest in.
