so whats everyones thoughts on net10 vs ST?
Im checking out net10 right now, and if you want to use an ATT sim, you are limited to 1.5gb (but i think you might be able to tether on att net10)
t-mobile net10 is unlimited, but does not allow tethering, but do they really crack down on this?
How is net10 with customer service. In particular - porting numbers over and also the chance of them dropping you out of nowhere because of using too much data (and therefore losing your number).
I think the only real reason i prefer ATT is because where i like ATT's service is a little better than net10. Im also able to use a microcell to get service at my moms house (just manually add your ST number to get it to work.)
Whats everyone think? I have 3 or 4 ST ATT sims that i might sell. Once you have used one once, can you re-use it with a different number, or port a new number to it. If so i have another ATT ST sim.
1. T-mobile's own prepaid watches tethering by looking at the useragent of your web browser (which can be changed, google it). Not sure if their mvnos do this too, probably.
2. Net10 and ST are owned by the same company. I would expect CS to be the same (awful), but once service is running it should be fine.
3. There is a cap now on net10, so how they would disconnect you for using too much data? Even ST doesn't kick people off anymore, they throttle.
4. Sell 3-4 SIMS at $100/ea = $300-400
Buy 5 net10 SIMs for $5.
I think the math says it all.
OR buy net10 sims, try the service out for 1 month on net10 and keep your ST sims as backup. Then sell the sims later after you like the net10 service?
5. SIMs are one time use. You would have to get a new SIM to port a new number to it.
