Holy crap! Hannibal is good!

Much more violent, not quite as intellectual, very suspenseful, not too scary as much as gorry, and relies heavily on SOTL.

Actually, I haven't seen Silence of the Lambs yet .

The plot is great but I don't think you should eat before seeing it.

Thought that was the biggest waste of two hours, totally unbelievable. I absolutely abhored that movie and "feel that much stupider" now that I have seen it.

I just thought it was a big waste of time and the end was just stupid.

the original was a million times better. This was just a pathetic attempt at reviving a "classic", too much BS.

the woman did a horrible job playing that part

Ray Liotta sucked (and I am a fan of most of his stuff)

I am sure not going to see the next one unless the woman makes me

Count me in as one of the people terribly disappointed by this one... SOTL was masterful, this one was lame, saved only by the great performance by Hopkins.

I thoroughly enjoyed the film. I had heard that it was a different type of film than SOTL and it was, but it was well thought out and put together nicely.

Anthony Hopkins was perfectly suited for this role, and his performance was excellent. "That other woman" was Julianne Moore, and though she did a convincing job as Clarice, it would have been a much different (read better) role had Jodie Foster chosen to take the part.

As far as gore goes, I was expecting worse. I mean, the final scene was more surreal than "gross". And the other scenes depicted events that are historically accurate. This is not your typical slasher movie (as people have been making it out to be).

If you're expecting to see SOTL, Part II you'll be sadly disappointed. But if you like the premise that SOTL is based on, you'll like Hannibal.
