Predicting the weather has a LOT more variables than figuring out how to gravity boost a probe to a comet.

The problem is not with the weather predictions. The problem is that they have popularized the thought that the weather can be accurately predicted.

If often can, but only when it's nice, and even then, they still don't always get it right.. But inclement weather is by nature generally violent and unpredictable.

Bruce Willis landed on a comet in did this in Armageddon in 1998, and Bill Paxton has been able to predict tornadoes since Twister in 1995. I think we're doing alright.

That's an easy one. Landing on the comet disrupted the cellestial winds and upset the delicate balance of the universe and now we are all going to die a horrible cold death.

I think Physics is has more constant variables than Meteorology.

Having said that, it IS Texas. Our weather changes daily, except for in the summer.
