He put some money into it and it's still not the type of car that's going to break the wheels free in second or third gear. I've driven the crap out of it and short of completely frying his clutch I can't see how you can spin through three gears.

I think the H22 is approx. 200hp, 150-160ft-lb..

weight seems to be about 3200 lbs. Now add in 220 hp and what do you get?

about mid 15's in the quarter mile.

Nearly identical output, if not exactly the same.

The kid put on all the standard bolt ons, CAI, exhaust, headers, timing control, etc, put some suspension (tien or something starting with a T?) on it, a performance clutch (after we burnt out the stock one). I think basically whatever you could do without putting a turbo or something crazy on it.

Sure the car was fun, it stuck to the ground like glue, but it was far from awe inspiring. We absolutely murdered his clutch before he went to get the new one put in. Sure it could break loose in first gear, like any car, but I never experienced any problem with traction in second, let alone third gear. There simply wasn't enough power to spin the wheels after you got it moving. How many cars out there can spin them through three gears, or even claim to have "traction problems" through more than two?

So you're unsure of what year your motor is, how much it weighs, how much power it generates and you can only identify it by the valve cover color (which is as easy to change as underwear)? Yet you have a car that you swapped this engine into? Comon... I'm not a gear head and even I'm not that dumb.

Make it believeable before you go to google.
