The movie was HORRIBLE IMO. What's with the slow-motion effects? That was overkill and a half. THe movie would have ended in five minutes if the damn thing had been in real-time.

Yep, good movie. Did you watch the NC17 rated one or the R-rated one? NC17 is unedited and much better

apparently you don't appreciate artistic imagery.
To each their own.

the hell? wats in the nc17 thats not in the R
Q: What's the difference between the R and NC-17 rated versions of the film?
A: Basically the difference is in the Violence. In the NC-17 version the scene in the Russian's Hotel Suite there are a lot of slow-mo bullet hits that have blood splattering. Likewise, in the Lakeview with Rocco and Sal, etc...

Dude, there's "artistic imagery" and then there's "ridiculous overkill". The first part of the movie, where there were a few slow shots, I thought this is pretty cool, stylized, etc., until they did it on EVERY SINGLE action scene. Kinda like HOW TYPING EVERYTHING IN CAPITAL LETTERS (AND BOLD) GETS ANNOYING AFTER A WHILE INSTEAD OF REINFORCING THE MESSAGE LIKE IT IS INTENDED. There needs to be a balance between the buildup of action and the execution of it - the bombardment of the slow motion sequences destroy the balance IMO, making the movie barely watchable. The part that bothers me is that the movie could have taken on a lot of "better"(IMO) directions, story and direction-wise, other than the path it has chosen.

well, i disagree. I enjoyed every second of the slow motion imagery.

yeah, the scene with the cat on the table....hahahah
*BLAM*
My favorite scene is when Willem Dafoe (sp) is re-creating the shootout at the house, and he's moving his hands as if they were guns....man that scene was just pure KICK A$$.
