The Clover is generally regarded as one of the best coffee making machines out there. Now I don't have to drive to obscure parts of LA to obtain excellent coffee.

Good coffee starts with good beans that are roasted well. This machine means nothing.

The Clover IMO is an expensive french press. Not worth 11k (though I'm sure it'll cost starbucks less once they make it themselves in volume). But I guess it's loads better than the current drip system that they use.

But that doesn't that mean that independent coffee shoppes will now have to purchase their machines from Starbucks? WTF? Damn monopoly..

They said on the Wall Street Journal This Morning that they were going to have a "Customer Loyalty" card as well, which will apparently let you earn points towards free flavors in your drinks, free drinks, et cetera.
