holy ****, korean plastic surgery. real or fake?

A Chinese girl I used to date refered to Koreas as being "weird". Which I can see. I look at Hyuna for example and she does look weird to me. Very unnatural. South Korean society seems just as superficial as ours, especially their version of Hollywood. Perhaps even more so.

Though I do find a lot of North-East Asian (China, Korea, Japan) women obsess about their looks. The Chinese girl above said her eyes were always too small and she was fat. She did have small eyes, but she was hardly fat. I thought she was beautiful. A lot of them talk like they're a used up old hag if they're not married by 25. There's still a lot of sexism in those societies. Things will change, slowly.

Do you know by any chance how the Japanese are viewed in the Asian culture?

I knew in WW2 the Japanese considered themselves more Western and a step above all the other Asian cultures at the time. Does the same hold true now?

I made many trips oversea with AA, Delta, NorthWest, Continental, United and their female attendants are way older and not as attractive as ANA, JAL, Thai, Cathay/etc. and not as nice/courtesy.

I know, that's why I made my post. AA, Delta, Continental-United have some of the ugliest stewardesses in the industry and their attitudes are some of the worst. While the overseas asian airlines have a much higher quality in their stewardesses in both looks and attitude.

That's why I think supporting an airline like AA because of "equal opportunity employment" is retarded. Equal opportunity employment allows shit tier employees in which results in shit tier quality service. I am all for unequal opportunity employment.

Most plastic surgeries are only temporary, within few short years, as people age they end up looking lot worse than they did prior to surgery.

Sad that people decide to do this to themselves.

I can understand plastic surgery for accident victim or breast cancer patient or something along the line.

One of the lead girls in "SNSD" or "Girls Generation" as some people call them actually had plastic surgery done straight out of HS. Her Middle and High School photos are floating around on the internet. She was a DIFFERENT person, she doesn't even look the same.

And it seems, every time they come out with a new music video a few of them start to look more and more like white girls.

I don't understand it....

I never thought about my eyelids or my eyelashes until I worked at Cedar Point Amusement Park after HS (back in 2008) and one of the internationals, a girl from China asked me how my eyelashes were so "curly" and then she complained about her own eyes and how they were shaped.

They're just eyes, man. :/

Funny thing is that Hyuna is known as one of K-Pop idols who were not done much of surgery.. And also I could confirm that from my college friend who is actually a cousin of her. It's either we are unnatural from the born (lol) or just different from the other Asians, I guess. Or probably make up.

The girls with natural double eyelids are Asians too?- Many many of them have it. They want to be like them, not white. I thought this was made clear.

i totally agree with these statements. most Asian female models and stars have double eyelids. my mother-in-law was not with us when my daughter was born. one of her first questions was, "does she have double eyelids?"

I just learned about this on the podcast This American Life and how Koreans put a picture on their resume and it is known that when two qualified candidates apply the better looking one will get the job. they talked to an american teacher over there and she asked them about it. Interesting podcast but since they delete it after one week you have to find it on the blackmarket now.
