Kind of like pissing in the pool. Feels good, but doesn't accomplish much.

Irrelevant as neither of those articles cover the women's march, which was my point. Trump continues to dominate the narrative. The events on the 21st are already on page 6
That is great coverage of the march. Thank you for sharing it. I think it also highlights my confusion over what the march was meant to accomplish. The march is over, Trump will be in the news for the same reason any elected President is.

If it were a men's march, it would not be so peaceful.
Looks like not all of them made it...

They did have one hell of a turnout.
Now if they only had a real cohesive cause for this huge gathering. They say they are protesting Trump, but why are they protesting all over the world? Trump is only the President of the USA.
NPR aired an interview with one of the DC march organizers yesterday. As far as next steps, there doesn't seem to be any coherent message or concrete plan. This is unfortunate. I think a look back at how the civil rights movement dismantled Jim Crow one plank at a time would be instructive. Pick one issue, hammer on it through victory, then move on to the next issue. Meanwhile, organize to win some state houses, fer f*s sake. The scatter shot approach diffuses energy and ensures further defeat.
That is because there is nothing to dismantle. It really was just one big massive group hug.NPR aired an interview with one of the DC march organizers yesterday. This was an incredibly emotional election. Trump is a deplorable person, but the "leak" of the Bush interview as the finishing move on Trump, intended to rally the feminist base, not only failed to win Clinton the election but also managed to create a tremendous amount of misdirected fear and anxiety.
I find it hypocritical that feminists so detest Trump yet many liberal women absolutely swoon for Bill Clinton. On the axis of sexist pigs, Trump is the ceiling but Clinton is just a few floors beneath him.
This march felt more like a mass therapy session than a movement with clearly defined goals and objectives. It is not for me or anyone to say who gets to march. I actually find it inspiring.
I also think it is legitimate to ask, great work, now what?
and for some reason really offends people that have no clue.
It's as if US policy doesn't effect everyone else on the planet.
You should tell that to everyone living in the middle east--oh, and everyone in Europe that is now dealing with the refugee crisis fundamentally precipitated by Dubya's foreign invasion policy.
Maybe cause we have bombs and we seem to like to use them on other people?
And a huge group of protesters for one day are going to have any effect on that.

Also call me when you're ready for actual equality...
White men: biggest victims on the planet. That's because there wasn't an agenda. There wasn't a goal. It was "rah rah, we have a vagina and we don't like the current president. What are we here for? I DUNNO LOL hey check this out I dressed up like a Vagina I'm so kewl!"
That's the problem with bullshit like this. Get to the point. You have a vagina and you're proud of it? That's nice, move along. Talk to me when you can name a right that men have that you do not.
Also call me when you're ready for actual equality such as:
-Advocating for more men in college
-Advocating for women to take dirty jobs such as picking up trash
-Advocating for women to take more dangerous jobs, considering something along the lines of 97% of workplace fatalities have been men.
White men: biggest victims on the planet.
If only they had some representation in the government, perhaps their lot in life would improve.
Someday, maybe!
Wait you left out the other talking point - They were all fat and ugly.Calling it a women's march is very misleading. It was a feminist march and conservative women were not invited. It should have been called the whiney bitches march.
Well let's see, everything I stated was a statistical fact. Everything you stated was a straw man. I'm shocked and appalled.
