A lot of us here on AT have moved out of our parents basements. It would be great to have a forum dedicated to chat about maintenance and repair of our homes.

There is a Garage forum, so I think that a Home and Garden forum would fit nicely right next to it.

So, let's remerge Audio/video and home theater with mobile devices and gadgets, L&R with off topic and, general hardware and computer help. Never going to happen. There would be less fragmentation if there was a real live search engine/filter system here.

The equipment needed for your garden can also be made by machines. For example, lawn mowers, leaf vacuum ... So add 1 Box Home and Garden perfectly reasonable

I came here to post the same suggestion... Honestly, it'd be cool to have those kinds of serious posts more centralized than just dropping them in OT.

I totally get the concept of not making sub categories for everything...

Thanks. There are some of us that started as young lads on here...since then, we've bought houses, we find home improvement and stuff outside of the norms interesting topics. It's cool to post pictures of the work we do and post/answer questions to common household problems that come up.

I'm a plumber/electrician/carpenter/bee keeper/snowboarder/boat captain/pilot/auto mechanic/server administrator....only one of those is computer related and we have more computer forums here than anything.
