but yes 3 shots, i wouldn't trust anything with 1 shot..esp when freaking out in a confrontation.
bb guns no good unless they have some insane gattling gun version that peppers someones skin with bb's.

Here's a pic. Definitely small enough to conceal (in 43 states) and bring with you wherever you go. I'll pick one up after the price comes down. How funny would it be if you were a bouncer and 3 guys were fighting. ZAP, crackle, pop. Sure would make their jobs a lot easier.

Just a quick note on bb guns. My friends and I used to play bb gun wars. This is where you run around the woods shooting each other with bb guns. Yes bb guns are that ineffective. One time a bb did get lodged in my tricep and I had to get it removed by a doctor (as well as a good lecture from my mother), but honestly a bb gun is worthless. I'd rather have a machete or a real firearm.

Yep pretty much. Although if you invented a BB that could deliver a lethal poison it could work, but most times you'll have time to get off one to two shots tops. Even then you may as well use a poison tipped dartgun. And a BB or dart isn't going to penetrate unless the guy is naked hehe.

Somehow I have a feeling that guns would be easier to find than poisonous BBs.

Keep in mind you will have to flee the scene usually and get help...a BB gun will definitely not be effective. I had high powered ones as a kid and even if 'one pump' that is a hell of a long time.

If you are reasonably fit, a good bat/baton/etc is decent. Most probably will not be packing a firearm for a B&E as the prison sentence goes way up...that said some will and bringing a bat to a gun fight is a losing move 9 times out of 10.

OP, get a firearm. If you are serious about protecting your family it is the best way. Anything else and you are putting yourself at great risk. Using a baseball bat or other such impliment will require you to get up close and personal and that is the last place you want to be. AS long as you are not in NYC, go get a shotgun.

I don't know about you, but when I do my ninja training my stars land perfectly between the dummy's eye fitting perfectly everytime for a perfect kill with just a single point at a perfect 90 degree angle for maximum killing powah.
