I have three computers connected on a home network. One runs Win98SE, one runs Win2k, and the other runs WinXP. They are all connected to the internet via a Netgear RP114 router without any problems.
The Win98SE machine sees the Win2k machine but not the WinXP machine. When trying to access the Win2k machine, I am prompted for a password? How/where can I find and/or set this info?
The Win2k machine sees the other two and is able to connect to their hard drives.
The WinXP machine sees the Win2k machine, but not the Win98SE machine. When trying to access the Win2k machine, I am prompted for a login/password. How/where can I find this info?
As you can tell from the questions, I am a novice in the networking world. In addition to the problems noted above, I plan to purchase a new laser printer today. I'd like to connect it to the Win98SE machine and share it (as this is the centrally-located computer in our home). It seems that this should be easy once I can get the machines to see and access each other.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
