I wonder if it were a younger assailant, would the 64-year-old dad be able to take him?

Also stupid for wearing gloves to not leave fingerprints but not wearing socks to prevent toeprints.

They take toeprints in jail?

No. You don't want many crime investigation shows do you?

But those CSI type shows are mostly BS.

I seriously doubt that the dad is celebrating killing someone -- even if the person was a convicted douchebag rapist.

He's probably just grateful that he was there to protect his daughter.

I think it can be hard to interpret the intentions of a string of words on the internet.

I don't really feel anyone is truly celebrating death, as that is indeed morbid. However, speaking for myself, I am more or less celebrating the fact that the dad was able to successfully protect his daughter, property and himself, and bring justice to a child rapist. They are scum and truly don't deserve to live, however I also would never suggest going off and killing all registered sex offenders. But when they are found in the act, and your family is on the line, I will definitely celebrate this outcome out of pure justice.

If I woke up to the sound of my window opening and saw a masked, naked man holding a knife I'm pretty sure I would scream too...

Aw. Yes, definitely good lookin' out by Dad. That's just kind of scary to think about, though. I hope my dad would kill a guy if he creeped into our house.

If someone like that creeped into my house, I wouldn't even wait for my dad. Though I would probably go to their bedroom and grab a pistol and clip.

<--- Waits for AT members to come in saying the father should have asked the man his intentions, served him tea then called the police. But never, ever should he have acted on his own.

I was more referring to shows like The First 48.

The guy was pretty stupid for trying to assault a girl when her dad was home. Also stupid for wearing gloves to not leave fingerprints but not wearing socks to prevent toeprints.

Stupid criminals.... gotta love 'em.

Half of ATOT is furiously taking notes on how best to sexually assault a teenager now!

I'm assuming you're referring to the thread where the guy beat up the daughter's boyfriend, which has significant differences from this situation.

Two problems with that: Sexual assault would still involve leaving the house (most likely) and interacting directly with another person.

My only quibble with the outcome is that the perv didn't suffer enough. Death by bleeding out from castration would have been better.

Not too much different, same intentions by the father.

This is a perfect example of why we need to outlaw all arms. Arms are deadly weapons and we need all current arms and their tattoos to be registered to help prevent these needless arms tragedies. What if a child had gotten a hold of those arms and hurt themselves or someone else?

At least strangling him to death didn't make a bloody mess on the carpet.
