I've been searching for weeks to find some speakers to go with my new receiver.

I already have a powered sub. So I'm looking at getting some tower speakers. Possibly a center too. I currently have a low end Panasonic box set hooked up. Well just the front two and center. So I'm looking to spend about $400 on the towers and center And these would be the towers with the matching center

All the reviews sounds really good but reading some stuff on here maybe I'm going in the wrong direction. My room is odd shaped. About 15*15 with a 70" TV. If it's decent I may look at adding the surrounds down the road a month or two. Any advice would be great.

Take a look at the Polk Monitor 70's. Can be had for around $160. Something about two "radiators" that look like woofers just runs me off.

Can't say definitively they are better but it's what I would spend my money on. They are $33 more and expensive and shipping is $2, so $35/speaker. "The dual passive radiators to ensure impressive mid tones and extra bass extension". To me they wanted to keep costs down and only use two woofer but wanted to look like it had four. Number of woofers isn't the end all be all by any stretch but to me it's like they are wanting it to look like something it's not. I'd get the Polks.

Also you need a center channel. The majority of the sound you are going to hear comes from your center channel. Just make sure you get the one that matches the fronts you decide on. For the BiC's just search Amazon and they come up. ($89 for the small or $150 for the larger with shipping, no prime) For the Polks $100 for the small and $152 for the larges shipped.

If your patient you can get the Polks for cheaper. They 70's regularly go on sale for $130-$150 with similar discounts on the centers.
