I really want to pick up a projector badly, but I can't justify putting that much money into something just for entertainment. Plus I would end up using it whenever I am even on my computer and I would be burning out bulbs left and right.

The whole setup was 3k..... Including the audio system and cables.... I am in the process of getting my machine hooked up to the projector for some 100 inch gaming.

I used AVIA to calibrate the system so that 00 on the Denon = 105db. I will usually watch movies at -15 when the GF is next to me. When I am alone it goes up to reference level most of the time.

You dont wanna sell one of those SVS Subs would ya? Been looking for a new sub but I have almost no money right now. Being a college student sucks. I got a second job over the summer to pay for my current theater.

No, my living room area is wide open to the kitchen and dining room, so I have a LARGE area to fill. You should check out the new SVS 20-39PC+ though.

arod, what brand is your whitescreen for projection, or did you make one? if you bought it, where and how much for? i'm really interested in setting up something like that. i have a living area in my basement; right now it is my bedroom & office. i have plenty of room to add a projection system/theatre, and i'd like to ASAP.

My sound system cost me 37+k. Too many items to list. The plasma TV took a big chunk of that bill, I paid over 17k for it.
