Huh, I actually really liked the last night's episode. As I was watching, even before the revelation at the end, I was liking how things were going. Carrie finally about to get out, Saul and the translator chick doing some actual sleuthing, the only stuff I did not care about was Dana of course.

I'm hoping now we will finally get to see them do some actual work and catch some bad guys.

The mom + boyfriend, and Dana arcs kind of made it a sleeper for me.

Saul and the translator are doing cool stuff but they get 5 minutes of screen time, which is about how much time we get for shots of Dana's car driving down the road.

I mean yeah, good stuff happened, but there's still a lot of filler.

Fair enough, can't really argue with that. It seems now we may be moving on to bigger and better things, though if Dana and Dexter wannabe do go the Bonnie and Clyde route, we could be in for some rough, annoying stuff. Maybe they will head to Caracas too so everyone can reunite there!

I am very happy that stuff is actually happening now. I really have no idea where the Dana storyline is going. I have a feeling Brody will be back in the US this season, so maybe they're setting this up to force his escape from Caracas and journey back to America. The boyfriend will kidnap/threaten to kill/kill Dana and Brody will go back for his daughter.

Pshh that's a 24-like plot where you can smell it a mile away

I tried watching episode that was on Showtime yesterday. It was exhausting trying to get into the character that Claire Daines plays. I hope she gets a drink or a stiff one in some other episode and calms the hell down.

It only started getting predictable from probably season 4 and on. (We can excuse any bad parts of season 5 since it made up for it being amazing)

Worst episode so far. The whole thing made no sense and it just made Carrie even more annoying and useless. I still like some of the characters, but this show is becoming hard to watch.

Yeah Quinn is pretty awesome. I have a feeling we will get more of him. That scene in her house really indicated that to me.

I was getting bored until the big reveal and the last episode was pretty good.

The senator met with Saul's number 2 guy who seemed to be on the same page with the senator. Is he just playing along as part of Saul's plan or was he genuinely in agreement with the senator? The latter seemed to be the case when he and Saul talked on the phone after the meeting. It would also make it very difficult to conduct their mission without the auspices of the all-but-confirmed-new head of the CIA.

Also, Saul's been having a pretty bad week.

It's gotten better and I like it more than I hate it. Still can't fucking stand the Dana scenes. She's sad, WE GET IT.

I assume F Murray Abraham is with Tracy Letts. Certainly felt that way. I was hoping he would not be, but he did not really reveal all to Saul on the phone, so I have to assume Abraham is against him and with the senator.

I am wondering what will happen to Saul if/when the senator gets approved. I would find it hard to believe that he would be cool working under Letts with the new rules he seems to want to put in place.

I've found this season difficult to watch. The show still has its hooks in me from the excellence of previous seasons, but this season has been too uneventful and flat. Sure, some things are happening, and I get the sense that the season as a whole is building to a climax...but I want every episode to have its own peaks and valleys of exciting plot too.
