I've seen far worse happen in Washington Square Park. Anyhow most of the uber-wealthy's feet probably will never touch the sidewalk in the area, much less the park. So I doubt you will get much support.

Seems like the city is slowly reverting back to the David Dinkins years due largely to attrition.

Like I said in the OP, the mayor himself came to reassure the neighborhood that all was right with the park after a stabbing. Now he's sending someone from the commissioner's office backed by UN officials and others to talk about the homeless situation either tomorrow or Friday. I would go too to move my homeless shelter but I have to work.

I know the popular answer would be "just get a job" but when you've got no phone, address, or clean clothing for an interview your chances are slim. Then if you get an $8/hr job, good luck trying to live off of it. Yea, there are some who will be perpetual bums even if they were handed decent employment on a platter and fuck them, but there are also plenty who are down on their luck, got "downsized" from where they used to work or have mental issues that would prevent any sane person from hiring them..

He was seen at the corner of 45th street and 2nd avenue with another woman besides him on the ground completely passed out. Across the street is the Nigerian Embassy and they were in shock.

Well I don't know exactly where you live, but of course there are homeless people in your country, especially in zh. There are shelters and emergency housing, but some of them don't use them because they have animals.
